Summer Camps

Summer Camps 2020! aaaa

Our Camps are Going Virtual

These camps ROCK!

Every child gets a CARE PACKAGE filled with goodies to use during camp!

The State of Colorado’s Camp provider requirements have been released regarding summer camp operations. Based on these guidelines, current CDC recommendations, and consultation with local healthcare professionals, we at Noteable Kids Arts Center have determined that the prudent course of action for our center this summer will be to offer all of our summer camps online. Our priority is the health of our campers, staff and families and we believe this is the best way to safely support our summer community.

VIRTUALLY Enriching Programs

We are super excited about this virtual medium for holding camps as we have had great success with our spring theatre classes and summer camps so far. Well aware that it will always be a different experience than hanging out in-person, we've been both surprised and delighted with all of the creative things we can do with the kids in a virtual space. We have spent countless hours with our staff and consultants to identify the best programs to take online and are finding that most of our programs can be effectively developed into high quality, fun, interactive experiences. We are looking forward to sharing them with you!

Please know, THIS IS NOT PASSIVE "SCREEN TIME." We get the kids up and moving with hands-on, creative activities. We are there to inspire and guide the kids as they dig into each camp's projects. In addition, the week prior to each program all campers can expect to receive a care package with all the needed supplies (just add water…and a bit of fun). Our goal is to make this ‘turn-key’ for parents and a fun and enriching experience for the kids.

Our current no risk registration policy allows you to cancel with full refund up to 7 days prior to camp start date.

A NOTE ABOUT ONLINE THEATRE CAMPS:

It is amazing how well theatre classes and camps have translated to this online medium. We have made alterations to our methods and are having a grand time working with our whole group and breaking out into small groups and even one on one meetings for more individualized attention in our virtual break out rooms. DESCENDENTS 3

Fan Favorites Musical Theatre Online Camp!

Of course, we were looking so forward to being together in person to enjoy putting this show together, while also laughing, playing and bonding as a cast, HOWEVER, we are excited to be able to do all of this in our virtual space. We've been holding our theatre classes all spring online and having a blast, so know this will be a great way to put it all together. It will be different... and it will be awesome!

We will be learning kickin' choreography, singing rockin' songs, and creating scenes based on this "good to be bad" story. There will be time for improv and acting games and cool crafts as well, just as we would do in our in person camps. We will split up into breakout rooms to rehearse scenes and work on songs and also have time to chill with eachother for cast bonding.

We have altered this camp from a full day to half day as we believe this will be the best way for you to have the dynamic experience we wish to present. We've added optional bonus time from Noon-12:30 to enjoy having lunch together, watch parties and social time.

This camp is great for girls and boys!

ART CAMPS!

Our art classes are very accessible and designed for multiple ages and skill levels as the instructors will group the children to match their interests and developmental readiness with lots of fun individual and group instruction time.

Here's What You Can Expect

ART KIT Each camper will receive by mail their own full art kits with supplies for each days activities (just add water). The art kit will have everything you need such as Paints, Brushes, Color Pencils, Canvas, Art Paper, Palette and Sculpture Materials, (such as modeling clay, glue, wire and beads). The package will also include some setup basics for the supplies for each day, as well as tips for how to set up their tablet or computer so that the instructors can work with your camper and so they can share the experience with others in our group.

  1. INDIVIDUALIZED & GROUP INSTRUCTION Each day’s session will be led by our professional art instructors through live “Zoom” program, while utilizing spotlight video and,  from time to time, breakout rooms for age appropriate instruction and interaction with instructors and camp-mates. Over the two hours we will typically work within one to two mediums and take on two focus projects. We will have a short break between the focus activities to get the campers up and moving around.
  2. GROUP PROJECTS & GAMES In addition to the artist-camper’s personal works of art, we will be doing some group projects, which include a mosaic of the unique works of art created by each of the campers, and then assembled into an on-line mural masterpiece. We will also be sending our campers on scavenger hunts to bring some ‘found art’ from in the house and in the yard to bring into the mix as we think “outside the box’ and ‘off the screen.’
  3. VIRTUAL ART SHOW On the last day of camp we will have a virtual gallery, which spotlights each artist and their work.
